Throughout Britain there are various protection orders to prevent people from pruning or removing trees. Sometimes these will be Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs), which will protect an individual tree or specific woodland. Permission will need to be granted by the local authority before work can be carried out.
A Conservation Order will usually blanket cover and area of town or countryside with specific interest. Again permission will need to be sought from the local authority before work can commence. We deal with local authorities on a regular basis and are happy to do so on your behalf.
There also may be a need for a felling license, but this usually only comes into force when the volume of timber is significant. We are in regular contact with the Forestry Commission and Natural Resources Wales and can apply for a license on your behalf.
